Punch and Pie Productions

The line between insanity and genius is erased

This page is a simple page that will have a list of recommended sites. These will all be sites me or someone from the crew recommends others visit. Each individual site will have a description next to it, such as what its main purpose is, what we use it for, some interesting things we've seen on it that you might not normally find, whether or not you need a user name to use the site's resources or not, and if you do, our usernames on there so you can look us up, etc. Pretty much everything you need to know about that particular site in one short summary, and if you do join these sites, then feel free to e-mail me as you wish in case you have a question you can't seem to figure out.

Enjoy!

Blatant Advertising

That's pretty much what this page will essentially be. Blatant Advertising for all of the sites we here at Punch and Pir Productions enjoy and use on a regular to semi-regular basis.

Bitey Castle
This is a site created by Adam Phillips, an Australian freelance animator. His recent work, for which he is best known, has consisted of flash animation compositions published on his website Bitey Castle. He used to be employed as a tweener and eventually promoted to the position of character animator, then effects director before he left in 2004. He is the creator of the Brackenwood series and is also on the flash portal Newgrounds and is the fourth top rated artist. His first episode of the Brackenwood series, Bitey of Brackenwood, also won the 2003 runner up prize of The Greatest Story Never Told (TGSNT) flash competition. I personally enjoy every one of the animations he has done because of the incredible detail and exquisite storylines all from his Brackenwood works to his minor side-projects. They are entertaining and free to watch on his site under the animation section.

Anime Music Videos
A site that delivers precisely what its sitename implies. With a free account on this site, you can download any AMV that is uploaded to this site. My username on here is Dokuhebichan, and all of my AMVs are on this site, but none of my videos that don't use anime as a medium appear here. You can search by song name, band/artist name, anime show/movie title, keywords, or specific characters from a certain anime. This site holds over 100 thousand videos by over 40 thousand creators, so I'm sure you'll be able to usually find the most obscure songs, even if it isn't with the anime you wanted.

ZeFrank
I'm not exactly sure what to say about this site, but it is a very interesting site. I don't normally visit it on a normal basis, but it's definitely a site that's worth checking out. There are many games, videos, blog conversations, and other randomized mini-experiences all over. And, when you follow links off the site, then there's even more to see and do. I just thought I'd put it up as an entertainment site for when you want anything from a simple laugh to an hysterical outburst.

MetaCafe
This is a site that I have recently stumbled upon and decided to make an account on (username Dokuhebichan), just like anyone can make a free account at anytime. This site is basically a streaming video site where people can upload any video they have created, in my case, AMVs. Compared to the dozens and dozens of streaming video and upload sites I have signed up for, some I stayed with, and others I fled away as soon as their flaws reared their ugly deformed little demonic heads. Metacafe (thus far) has been perfect in every way, shape, and form. The upload process, as well as time, is much simpler than any site I have seen thus far and their response time and viewing rates are extremely efficient. When most other sites complete processing in about 30 minutes, Metacafe completes video processing in a matter of a couple of minutes after video upload is completed and people immediately start watching your videos. The first video I uploaded was online for about 2 minutes when I noticed 24 people had already watched and rated it. I strongly suggest any AMV creators obtain an account on Metacafe.

Deviant Art
Whoever has yet to hear of this obviously does not surf the web much. Anyway, it's a real awesome site where thousands of people gather for one specific reason: artwork. People view and comment on others and they post their own hoping to get good reviews or suggestions on how to improve their style. All accounts are free and my account name on there is Shukaku-tanuki and I have my artwork and fanart stuffs up there as well (I have also been putting most of the same things in my Photo Gallery here). Most of the time I like to simply type in the name of a character I like and see all the results and unique sketches and work of that character. I really enjoy it, and you would too.

 Newgrounds
My account on here is, of course, Dokuhebichan. "Everything, By Everyone." Newgrounds is a flash portal where people upload flash animations, games, and other things they've made for others to view. There are plenty of awesome games, videos, interactive storylines, and much much more available on NG. Browse amongst the games and flash animations, or search for something specific to see what people have parodied over it. But, make sure you pay attention to the age warnings! I have accidently stumbled upon so-called "funny things" that kinda made me wanna puke a bit. If you're concerned about something like that when it comes up, scroll and read the comments by the creator as well as others who have watched it already. Either way, I'm sure it's a site many, many people can enjoy ^.^

Gaia Online
Gaia is an online community where you can make and customize your own avatar to represent what everyone sees you as. It has very interesting games that you can play by yourself or with friends to earn Gold or prizes. You can speak up in Gaia's huge forum comminuty or hang out and chat in their snazzy virtual worlds.
